Meditation

A life changing experience

Meditation can be a life changing experience, improving one’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual lives. The effects of meditation are numerous and regular meditation improves brain function by modifying brain waves. According to the NIH, people practice meditation to improve symptoms of anxiety, pain, depression, stress, insomnia, physical or emotional symptoms due to chronic disease, and for general wellness.

Government funded research on meditation includes studies on menopausal hot flashes, stress of caregivers dealing with dementia, chronic back pain, asthmatic symptoms, and improving attention related problems (alertness, focusing, prioritizing).

At the IMGI, we have regular, inexpensive meditation sessions lead by Dr. Yoojin Lee, who years of experience with several different forms of meditation. Private classes are also available.
